As a sophomore (2020)

• Played in three games as a sophomore before the season was ended due to COVID-19.
• Saw action against Towson, High Point, and Ohio State.
• Picked up a ground ball against Towson on Feb. 21.

As a freshman (2019)

• Did not play as a rookie.

Prior to Cornell

• Lettered four times in lacrosse at Princeton High School.
• Served as team captain as a senior.
• Named second-team All-NJ (2017).
• First-team All-Mercer County (2017).
• 2017 Princeton High School Defensive MVP.
• Lettered twice in soccer, earning first-team All-NJ honors as a senior.

Personal

• Ian Christopher Jacobs is the son of Chris Jacobs and Marie Sheehan.
• A triplet along with brother Patrick and sister Margaret.
• Older sister, Elizabeth, played lacrosse at Dartmouth.
• Father, Chris, won two gold and one silver medal in swimming at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea … He was a 20-time All-American at Texas.
• Mother, Marie, played field hockey and ran track at North Carolina.
• Three uncles were Division I student-athletes, as John and Tim Sheehan played lacrosse at Brown and UNC, respectively, while Patrick Sheehan played football at UNC.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
