Freshman Year - 2008
Keehn made the adjustment to college baseball with seven appearances as a freshman, working 9.2 innings of relief. His best outings came during the middle of the season in a pair of appearances against LeMoyne, working a scoreless inning against the Dolphins on April 3 and working a perfect 1.1 innings against LeMoyne on April 15. He finished the season with six strikeouts, including a season-best three in three innings against Long Island on March 20.

Before Cornell
Keehn was named all-league and all-county as a senior at San Luis Obispo HS by the San Luis Obispo Tribune, also earning team most valuable player honors while serving as team captain. As a senior, he had a 2.85 earned run average with a county-best 44 strikeouts, while also batting .400 with 17 runs batted in, two triples and two home runs. Keehn was selected to play in the PAC 7 vs. Los Padres League Senior All-Star Game. He played his senior year of high school under former major leaguer Casey Candaele. He also was named to the all-tournament team at the Santa Barbara Foresters Rawlings Cup during the summer of 2006. He earned three letters in baseball and one in basketball at San Luis Obispo.

William Read Keehn is the son of Richard and Rebecca Keehn, and he has a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences
