The tall right-hander made eight appearances as a junior, posting a 9.45 ERA in 13.1 innings of work. He started two games against Army and LeMoyne, but had his best performances out of the bullpen. He came on and worked three innings of one-hit relief against Binghamton on April 10, striking out a season-high five in the process, to help shut out the Bearcats. Two weeks later, he worked five innings of relief against Penn, allowing three runs on six hits. He earned his first career save in his first appearance of the season on March 17 at Davidson, working a perfect inning with a strikeout. Klinesteker saw action out of both the bullpen and in the rotation as a sophomore, but was plagued by inconsistency. He pitched six innings against Vermont in his second outing of the year, allowing five runs on six hits, and later struck out five in 6.2 innings against Yale, though he came out on the short side of the decision against the Bulldogs. He had an outstanding freshman season in which he posted a 3.32 ERA. In his collegiate debut on Mar. 22 against Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he came on to start the seventh inning and pitched three innings of no-hit ball, striking out three to earn his first career win. Four days later, he shut down Big Ten champion Ohio State for 4 1/3 innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five. In his final outing of the year, he held Princeton scoreless for four innings allowing his team to get back in the game after falling behind 6-0 early in the game. Ultimately, Cornell would fall 7-6 in 10 innings.

Klinesteker earned six varsity letters at Red Bluff HS, three each in baseball and basketball.

Bryce Evan Klinesteker is the son of Mark and Cathy Klinesteker and has an older brother and sister. He is majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
