Started all 11 of his appearances, posting a 2-2 record with 4.26 ERA in 61 1/3 innings, striking out 56 batters and issuing 26 walks … held opponents to a .191 batting average, yielding 41 hits allowed in 215 at-bats … opened season by pitching six no-hit innings in season-opening upset victory over No. 17-ranked Duke (Feb. 21), facing one over the minimum … retired 16 of last 18 batters he faced against Michigan State (March 7), allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits with no walks and three strikeouts in six innings … struck out season-high eight batters against Penn (April 13) … retired first 12 batters he faced against Dartmouth (April 25) before ending as tough-luck loser (7.1IP, 5H, 5R/ER, 1BB, 6K) … took no-hitter into sixth inning against Princeton (May 3), where he struck out seven and walked five while allowing one run on one hit to earn second victory of season … had four quality starts on season, coming against Duke (Feb. 21), Michigan State (March 7), Brown (March 28), and Penn (April 13) ... one of four Cornell baseball players named to College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District team, his second consecutive season being recognized.
2024 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Started in all eight appearances on season before missing final month of season due to injury ... pitched just once over final six weeks of season due to injury ... posted 2-2 record with 8.55 ERA during season ... registered first victory of season at Richmond (March 16) with 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 3 SO line ... pitched season-high 6.2 IP as part of first collegiate quality start against Princeton (March 22); yielding three runs on three hits while walking none and striking out season- and career-high eight batters ... other victory came against Dartmouth (March 30), where he finished with 5 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 4 SO ... registered one walk or fewer in five of eight outings ... named to College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team, lone representative from Cornell baseball team to earn honor.
2023 | FRESHMAN SEASON
One of Cornell's go-to relievers, tying Spencer Edwards for the most appearances on season (18) ... pitched 46 innings while striking out 38 and issuing just 12 walks ... posted 1-2 record with a team-leading 4.89 ERA ... struck out a season-high five batters on two occasions (March 18 at George Mason and April 21 vs. Princeton) ... recorded first collegiate save at Yale (March 24) before collecting first victory over Columbia in following weekend (April 2) ... also earned the save at Dartmouth (May 6).

Carson Everett Mayfield is the son of Jeff and Ann Mayfield, and has an older brother ... currently enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
