Bill Kerry is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Cornell baseball program, working primarily with the Big Red catchers.
Kerry, a former catcher himself during his playing days, was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1998 and signed with the Chillicothe Paints of the independent Frontier League in 1999. He was also a member of the 1997 Northeastern Collegiate Baseball League’s Ithaca Lakers.
A 1998 graduate of Le Moyne College where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and criminal justice, Kerry played four years of baseball with the Dolphins. During two of those seasons, he was named first-team All-MAAC as a catcher.
A native of the Ithaca area, Kerry graduated from Lansing HS in 1994, and he is now a patrol officer for the Ithaca College Police Department.
