Dan Tischler

Dan Tischler, a 2008 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Cornell baseball program.

Tischler is reunited with current Cornell head coach Bill Walkenbach, who was his coach at Franklin & Marshall for three seasons. As a player, Tischler was a standout pitcher, holding the school record for saves and earning All-Centennial Conference First Team and Mid-Atlantic All-Region second team honors as a junior in 2007. He was the team's closer during its back-to-back conference championship seasons in 2005 and 2006.

After graduating from Franklin & Marshall in 2008, Tischler joined the coaching staff at Swarthmore College, where he spent the last two seasons. With Tischler on the coaching staff, the Garnet improved from a 10-21 record in 2008 to 13-23 in 2009 and a 20-18 mark last season, Swarthmore's first season over the .500 mark since going 17-13-1 in the 1996 season.

Tischler graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in history and made the Dean's List all eight semesters at Franklin & Marshall.
