Recto's up-to-date results
As a Senior (2017-18)
• Competed in one indoor meet, taking 11th in the 60 meters (7.38) at the Kane Invitational.
• During outdoors, placed ninth in the javelin at both the Sam Howell Invitational (144-4) and Outdoor Heps (135-7).
• At the Bison Outdoor Classic, was 34th with a person-record toss of 160-3.
As a Junior (2016-17)
• Threw the discus for Cornell in three outdoor meets as a junior.
• Collegiate best of 133’5” at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet was good for ninth.
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Competed in nine meets for the Big Red as a freshman.
• Finished eighth in the 200 meters at both the Cornell Sunday Invitational (23.62) and the April Cabin Fever Indoor Invitational (24.60).
• Also competed twice in the javelin throw and earned a pair of sixth place finishes at the Outdoor Upstate Challenge (143’2”) and the Big Red Invitational (152’7”).
Baseball
As a Freshman (2015)
• Recto made six appearances off the bench for Cornell during his rookie season.
• He pinch ran on four of those occasions and ended up scoring on half of those chances.
Prior to Cornell
• Recto co-captained Chantilly HS to its first regional championship in school history, as well as its first appearance in the state championship.
• He was named the district pitcher of the year, all-region first team and all-state second team.
• He also was an all-state sprinter in indoor track and field. Recto was a three-year member of the National Honor Society, six-time Scholar-Athlete award recipient and an AP Scholar with Distinction.

"Eason is a very good athlete who has a nice collection of tools. He can drive the ball, run the bases well, make plays in the infield or outfield, and has a strong arm. His positional flexibility is a nice bonus for us."
Personal
• Eason Edgar Recto is the son of Edgardo and Rhonda Recto.
• He has a younger sister, Julia, and is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
