Biography

Senior Season — 2016
Lowell started half of the Big Red's game at second base and mixed in another six starts at shortstop, batting .176. His 15 walks ranked second on the team, and he had a three-game hitting streak amid the team's four-game series at Bucknell from March 18-20. Lowell also made three appearances as a relief pitcher.

Junior Season — 2015
Lowell made 12 starts on the season, all in the middle of the infield, with eight coming at shortstop and four at second base. His best game at the plate came against Maine on March 14 when he had a pair of base knocks to go with a run scored. He ended up making seven appearances off the bench and continued to be one of the Big Red's best defensive options. He also made an appearance on the mound when he threw a pair of innings on March 31 at Richmond.

Sophomore Season — 2014
Lowell made two pinch-hit appearances for the Big Red, staying in the game to play second base on both occasions. He drew an RBI walk in the 10th inning of Cornell's 14-8 victory on March 16 at James Madison.

Freshman Season — 2013
A strong defender, Lowell saw his role gradually increase throughout the season with 15 starts at second base and third base. He batted .154 with three runs and five RBIs over 52 at-bats. His 10th-inning single on April 14 at Columbia scored pinch-runner Forrest Crawford for the go-ahead run in the Big Red's 5-4 victory against the division-winning Lions.

Prior to Cornell
Lowell played for four seasons as a middle infielder and pitcher for St. Augustine HS, also helping the San Gabriel Valley Arsenal club team advance to the Mickey Mantle World Series. He was also a champion at the national Cooperstown All-Star Tournament. Lowell was a second-team all-league selection as a junior and a senior, also earning a league gold glove award as a senior. He graduated cum laude and earned a National Latin Exam Award in 2011 and U.S. President Education Award in 2009.
