Lone appearance of season came in non-conference contest at Binghamton (April 11) in which he went 0-for-3.

2022 | JUNIOR SEASON
Made appearances in 18 contests, including 11 on the mound ... scored two runs, walked three times and stole a base in 15 plate appearances ... pitched 9.1 innings, striking out four without recording a decision ... walked twice, stole a base and stole two runs in a 14-5 victory at Coppin State.

2021 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2020 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Made one start and three appearances off the bench with five at-bats before the season ended after just nine games.

PRIOR TO CORNEL
Named Polytchenic School's Senior Athlete of the Year after starring in baseball and football ... two-time all-state and all-CIF pick on the baseball diamond ... four-time all-league selection in baseball, winning league MVP honors three times ... helped lead the team to the CIF small school championship as a junior, going 27-3 ... in football, was a two-time all-league, all-area and all-valley pick while playing running back, wide receiver and safety ... scored 23 touchdowns in his final season, including three on punt returns, and intercepted four passes ... earned National Football Foundation scholar honors ... led team to two league titles and small school playoff appearances.

Franco Alonso is the son of Ben and Rosy Alonso and has an older brother and sister ... his sister, Catalina, is a 2022 Cornell graduate ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
