2024 | SENIOR SEASON
Batted .224 with six doubles, eight home runs, and 29 RBI across 34 appearances, all of which were starts at second base ... eight home runs were tied for the eighth-most by a Big Red player in a season ... logged home runs in consecutive games against Richmond (March 16-17) and Brown (May 4-5) ... registered career-long seven-game hit streak between April 13-27 ... posted trio of four-RBI efforts against Richmond (March 16), Yale (April 20), and Brown (May 5), making himself one of two Cornell players to achieve feat during season (Nathan Waugh) ... blasted the second of Cornell's three consecutive home runs against Dartmouth in nightcap of March 30 twin bill ... hit one of Cornell's eight grand slams on season against Yale (April 20) ... registered fielding percentage of .975, committing four errors in 158 fielding opportunities ... factored in 19 double plays, second-most of any Big Red player. 

2023 | JUNIOR SEASON
Started in 27 of his 29 appearances, posting four doubles and three home runs ... also drove in 15 runs and was successful in seven of his nine stolen base attempts ... drove in season-high four RBI with go-ahead grand slam over Yale (March 24) ... other multi-RBI game came in first game of March 15 twin bill at Harvard when he had three RBI ... stole two bases in consecutive games against VCU (March 10 and 11).

2022 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Emerged as team’s primary second baseman, while also taking some innings at shortstop, plus a start in outfield ... tied for team lead in stolen bases (9), tallying three against Coppin State (March 5) ... tallied first career three-hit game against Harvard (March 25), logging a pair of doubles and a stolen base ... registered pair of doubles against Yale (April 2) ... only had four errors in 139 fielding chances, good for a .971 fielding percentage, while factoring in nine Big Red double plays.

2021 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Earned 2020 Perfect Game Preseason All-American Honorable Mention for the Florida Region ... twice named Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All-America Honorable Mention (2018, 2019) ... ranked in the top 500 nationally in his recruiting class by Perfect Game ... competed with Florida Burn 2020 Platinum team, winning a WWBA World Championship and BCS National Championship in 2019 ... helped Ponte Vedra HS win three consecutive district championships (2017-19) ... member of National Honor Society.

Matthew Donald Barnhorst is the son of Don Jr. and Kirsten Barnhorst, and has two sisters and one brother ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
