Junior Season - 2009
Langseth started 36 games for the Big Red on the year, finishing with a .316 batting average and 18 runs scored with another 11 driven in. He got off to a slow start, but as the weather got hotter, so too did his offensive production. Langseth had a 3-for-4 game on March 28 against Brown, scoring once and driving in a run, and added another on May 2 in game two of the Ivy League Championship Series at Dartmouth to help the Big Red force a decisive game three. Langseth hit his first Cornell home run on April 12 against Penn. He also played solid defense on the year, recording 51 outs and 79 assists while committing just nine errors.

Before Cornell
Langseth spent two seasons at Ohlone College in California, earning first-team all-American honors in 2008. He was a two-time all-conference selection at Ohlone, also being named the team MVP and the Ohlone College Male Athlete of the Year in 2008. At California High School, he was an all-league and All-East Bay first-team selection in 2005 while guiding his team to a league title. Langseth also was named the most valuable player of the IBC World Series in 2004. He earned two letters in high school and another two at Ohlone at second base.
