2026 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Named 2026 Ivy League Rookie of the Year after emerging as team's most reliable pitcher, finishing 3-1 with one save and 2.89 ERA over 43.2 innings across team-leading 16 relief appearances ... became Cornell's fourth Rookie of the Year honoree, joining Bill Walkenbach (1995), Kellen Urbon (2012), and Mark Quatrani (2024) ... three victories were most by a Big Red freshman pitcher since Michael Byrne (3-2) in 2013 ... ranked second among qualifying Ivy League pitchers in ERA and had the Ancient Eight's lowest opposing batting average (.199) ... struck out 42 batters compared to issuing just 13 walks ... his 42 strikeouts were fourth-most by a Big Red freshman pitcher and most since Noah Keller (50) in 2023 ... struck out six batters in first career outing against Boston College (Feb. 20) in three innings ... earned first of two Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors after tossing 5.1 hitless, scoreless innings while matching season-high six strikeouts against Yale (April 17) ... pitched season-high seven innings against Brown (April 25), allowing just one run and striking out four to earn his second win in as many weekends ... pitched 4.1 scoreless innings against Columbia (May 2) to earn his third win of season and second in as many appearances en route to other Rookie of the Week honor.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Four-year player at the Nichols School, aiding program to Georgetown Cup appearance as a senior ... received Colpoys-Barrows Cup after striking out 97 batters over 52 innings during senior season, en route to earning Monsignor Martin Player of the Year honors as well as First Team All-WNY and Pitcher of the Year awards ... also played two years of hockey, winning pair of state titles, along with being named Freshman of the Year in league and having most points of any freshman in New York State ... four-year player on Nichols' golf team, reaching state three years in a row and winning two league titles as a freshman and senior.

Ross Alexander Yoshida is the son of Brian and Holly Yoshida, and has two older sisters ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
