Biography

At Cornell
Dannaway saw action in 18 games as a freshman, starting 11 times at third base when Nathan Ford spelled Adam Jacobs at catcher. Dannaway batted .211 on the year, highlighted by a 2-for-4 performance on April 7 against Dartmouth when he scored twice and drove in a pair, including hitting his first collegiate home run. Dannaway had three two-hit games on the year and scored nine runs and drove in six.

At Punahou

Dannaway was a two-time all-state selection in baseball, helping his team to three consecutive state championships. He was named first-team all-state as a junior before earning second-team all-state honors during his senior season. He also played three years of football, earning first-team all-state honors as a linebacker during his senior season.

Steven Elias Tamotsu Dannaway is the son of Samuel and Linda Dannaway, and he has a younger sister. He is enrolled in Cornell's College of Enginneering.
