• Moved to the offensive line during the offseason.
• Made his only appearance as a reserve against Brown.

As a junior (2016)
• Was credited with a career-high three stops in the season opener at Bucknell, his only action of the year.
• Missed several games due to injury.

As a sophomore (2015)
• Earned playing time in two contests, making a pair of tackles.
• Earned snaps on the defensive line in the 2015 season opener against Bucknell, posting one stop.
• Made one tackle against Brown.

As a freshman (2014)
• Saw action in each of the team's final three games as a reserve defensive lineman, making a pair of tackles.
• Made his first career appearance at Brown, making two tackles.
• Saw time as a reserve on the defensive line at Columbia and Penn.

At Brother Rice HS
• Sandoval was a two-time all-league and all-area selection on the defensive line at Brother Rice HS. He helped his team to three state championships.
• The school’s football scholar-athlete award winner, he was an all-county selection as a senior and was invited to compete in the 2014 Border Classic senior all-star game between Michigan and Ohio.
• Sandoval ended his senior season with 76 total tackles and six sacks.
• He was a two-star recruit from the rivals.com scouting service. 
• Sandoval also competed on the track and field team in the shot put and discus.

Personal
• Alberto Sandoval-Olivas is the son of Alberto and Claudia Sandoval and has three younger sisters and a younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
