BASEBALL
As a senior (2018)
• Emerged as one of team's top relievers in Ivy League play, recording 11 straight scoreless outings from March 31 to May 12.
• Surrendered no extra-base hits in eight league outings with 0.75 ERA that ranked second among relievers with at least 10 innings in Ivy League play.
• Tied for second on team with 16 appearances, posting 2-0 record and 2.61 ERA.
• Held opposition to .197 batting average.
• Stranded 10 of 12 inherited runners.
• Made one midweek start in March 28 victory at Penn State.
As a junior (2016)
• Walked on to the team and made eight appearances on the mound, primarily in relief.
• Earned first collegiate save by striking out two in an inning of work to close out a 4-3 victory on April 16 against three-time defending Ivy League champion Columbia.
• Longest outing lasted three innings in a non-league game on April 26 at Canisius.
FOOTBALL
As a freshman (2013)
• Served on the scout team.
Prior to Cornell
• A first-team all-league and all-county selection as a safety for football team at Palma HS.
• Led the team with five interceptions and also caught 14 passes for nearly 200 yards on offense at receiver.
• Served as team captain in his final season, helping the team to a league and sectional title.
• Named Max Prep Second Team All-State and All-County for baseball during his senior season.
• Lettered twice in baseball as a pitcher.
Personal
• Austin Joseph Wahl is the son of William and Christine Wahl and has four brothers and two sisters.
• Stepfather, Rick Dukes, played football at UC Davis, while grandfather, Bill Wahl, played basketball at Portland State. Great uncle, Al Kralovansky, played basketball at Purdue.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
