Biography

As a senior (2015)
• Rogers ranked fourth in the Ivy League in all-purpose yardage (116.3 ypg.) and was third in both kick and punt return average.
• He led Cornell in receptions (26) and receiving yards (439).
• Had six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown as part of a 283-yard all-purpose yardage day, the fourth-highest total at Cornell since 1994, at Princeton
• Hauled in six passes for 127 yards and totalled 235 all-purpose yards against Patriot League champion Colgate.
• Had 194 all-purpose yards against Ivy League champion Harvard.
• Made five catches for 109 yards with two touchdowns against Brown.
• Posted 89 all-purpose yards at Dartmouth.

As a junior (2014)
• Played in seven contests at wide receiver, catching 15 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown.
• Also returned punts and kicks early in the season.
• Hauled in five catches for 78 yards and a touchdown against defending Ivy League champion Princeton.
• Caught a career-high five passes for 33 yards at Brown.
• Made one catch for 19 yards in the 2014 opener at Colgate.
• Had three catches for 30 yards in the season finale against Penn.
• Missed three games due to injury.

As a sophomore (2013)
• Rogers emerged as a dangerous weapon on special teams and at wide receiver as a sophomore in 2013, ranking among the Ancient Eight’s leaders in all-purpose yardage.
• He hauled in 12 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown in the offense, but was especially dangerous on special teams.
• Rogers led the team in punt returns (seven returns, 62 yards, 8.9 yards per return) and kickoff returns (29 returns, 660 yards, 22.8 yards per return).
• He hauled in his first career touchdown catch with a 16-yarder in the win over Columbia and posted at least 150 all-purpose yards in three games.
• Rogers had an impressive 224 all-purpose yards against Yale, includ­ing his first three career catches for 57 yards.
• He also returned six kickoffs for 164 yards (27.3 ypr.) at Monmouth and had 163 all-purpose yards against Colgate, including seven kickoff returns for 151 yards.

As a freshman (2012)
• Rogers served as an understudy on the scout team to All-America receiver Luke Tasker and All-Ivy counterpart Grant Gellatly in 2012.

At Geneva Community HS
• An all-conference and all-area wide receiver at Geneva Community HS, Rogers hauled in 59 passes and five touchdowns in his final two seasons.
• He hauled in 35 passes for 731 yards and five touchdowns in his final season, earning Champagne New Gazette Special Mention 100 honors.
• He hauled in 24 passes for 475 yards and three scores as a junior to help his team to a conference title.
• Rogers was named team captain of the football and basketball teams and also competed in track and field.
• He set a school record in the triple jump during his track career.

• Benjamin Thomas Rogers is the son of Tom and Mary Rogers and has an older and younger sister.
• His grandfather, Jerry Vainisi, was the General Manager of the Chicago Bears from 1983-87.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
