Biography

At Cornell: Gerli saw significant action on the junior varsity as a junior, ranking among the team’s top defensive linemen. A transfer from Ithaca College, Gerli played for the Big Red’s crosstown rival as a freshman before walking on at Cornell. A hard-working defensive lineman, Gerli has a high motor and will attempt to crack a deep defensive line rotation in 2008. He is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.

At Kent School: Team captain as a senior at the Kent School, Gerli was a part of two New England champion squads. He was a four-year letter winner in both football and swimming.

Personal: Bennett Nicoll Gerli is the son of John Jr. and Margery O’Boyle Gerli and has a brother, Brooks, who was a swimmer at Hartford.
