At Bronxville
In two varsity seasons as the starting running back at Bronxville HS, Murray rushed for 2,836 yards and 27 touchdowns while averaging better than nine yards per carry. A first-team all-state, all-section and all-league pick at running back in his final year, Murray rushed for 1,655 yards and 21 touchdowns while averaging 9.1 yards per carry as a senior captain. He led his team to a sectional and regional title before falling in the state title game. Murray rushed for at least 100 yards in 10 of his 11 games, including three 200-yard contests, en route to capturing the award as the section's top back. Murray also rushed for at least three touchdowns in five different games and caught four passes for 86 yards. On defense, Murray posted 35 tackles and had four pass breakups. As a junior, Murray ran for 1,181 yard on 9.8 yards per carry and scored six times, surpassing the 100-yard mark in five of the eight games in which he played. Defensively he posted 41 tackles.

Personal
Brian Mohan Murray is the son of Jim and Lorraine Murray and has two an older and younger brother. His mother is a 1976 Cornell graduate, and his older brother, Chris, is a junior linebacker for the Big Red football team. Murray is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
