At Cornell: Ostrowsky is a candidate to take over one of the open starting linebacker spots as a senior. The two-year letter winner is a hard-hitting playmaker with good size and strength for the position. Ostrowsky is a sure tackler and an emotional leader of the defense. He played a key role as a reserve in 2007, playing in all 10 games and ranking third among the linebackers with 29 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for a loss. Ostrowsky had a career-best five tackles at Georgetown and had four in three other games as a junior. Ostrowsky saw action at linebacker and on special teams as a sophomore, making two tackles while playing in all 10 contests to earn his first varsity letter. The converted running back saw action in two contests as a freshman on special teams and earned two carries for six yards against Columbia. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

At Bishop Hoban: Ostrowsky rushed for 1,816 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior at Bishop Hoban HS, where he became the school’s all-time leading rusher, tackler and scorer. Ostrowsky was named first-team all-state as a linebacker and was the Super 33 Player of the Year in 2004. He was a UNICO senior all-star game selection, winning the game’s most valuable player award. A three-time first-team all-league pick, he played both running back and linebacker. A two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Ostrowsky was named to the 2004 All-EasternPAFootball.com Small School Team at running back. He was also an all-league selection in basketball and competed in baseball and track and field.

Personal: Brian Christopher Ostrowsky is the son of Ed and Marianne Ostrowsky and has two older sisters.
