Dennis saw action on the junior varsity as a freshman before sitting out the 2009 campaign. Dennis is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At Eisenhower
Dennis was a second-team all-district selection as a senior at Eisenhower HS, helping lead the team to a turnaround from a 3-7 campaign to an 8-4 year that featured a second-round state playoff appearance. Dennis posted 60 tackles, a pair of interceptions and three forced fumbles in his senior season. A two-year letter winner, he helped lead his squad to an undefeated district record.
