As a senior (2021)

• Had 14 tackles with a tackle for loss, four quarterback hurries, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup in 10 contests, including one start.
• Earned the start in the season opener against No. 22 VMI, making one tackle.
• Had a pair of stops at Yale and in the win over Colgate.
• Credited with quarterback hurries at Harvard and against the Raiders.
• Made a pair of tackles against No. 15 Princeton.
• Had three tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass breakup in the win at Penn.
• Made one tackle, recovered a fumble and posted two quarterback hurries against Columbia.

As a junior (2020)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a sophomore (2019)

• Appeared in all 10 contests on special teams and as a reserve linebacker.
• Made his collegiate debut in the season-opening win at Marist, seeing action on special teams.
• Credited with his first career tackle in the win over Brown.
 

As a freshman (2018)

• Did not see varsity action.

Prior to Cornell

• Sontich was a two-time all-conference selection at Chagrin Falls HS while playing quarterback, tight end and linebacker.
• He was named to the all-league and all-district second teams as a senior.
• He lettered three times on the gridiron.
 

Personal

• Christoph John Sontich is the son of John and Ute Sontich and has an older brother and sister.
• His father played football at Dartmouth and his brother played at Penn.
• His cousin Sean Clayton played football at Michigan State and Florida Atlantic and another cousin, Thomas Clayton, played baseball at Youngstown State.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
