At Cornell

Andrew Geisler joined the Big Red coaching staff during the spring of 2018 as special teams intern.
 

Prior to Cornell

Geisler spent two seasons on the staff at California (Pa.) as the defensive quality control coach. He was part of the staff in 2016 when the school won a league title and reached the regional championship game. He was responsible for weekly game film breakdown and analysis while primarily working with the defensive backs and special teams. Geisler played key roles in recruiting, team travel and equipment.

He served as a strength and conditioning intern in the final semester of his career at Saint Vincent after spending four years as an assistant line coach at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, working with the team during summer and winter conditioning practices.
 

Playing Career

A 2016 graduate of Saint Vincent College with a degree in biology, Geisler was a four-year member of the varsity football team. The defensive lineman closed his career with 92 tackles, including 18.5 for a loss and six sacks. He earned team Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and served as team captain in his final year. Geisler is on track to earn a master's in exercise science from California (Pa.) in 2019.
