At Cornell

Damion Terry joined the Big Red coaching staff during the fall of 2019 as a defensive intern.

In his first season working with the Cornell defense, the Big Red ranked among the top 25 nationally in first down defense (eighth), third down defense (11th, .321), red zone defense (16th, .719), scoring defense (19th, 20.7 ppg.), rushing defense (121.9 ypg.) and total defense (22nd, 335.6 ypg.). The Big Red had three players earn All-Ivy honors on the defensive side, including first-teamer Jelani Taylor.
 

Prior to Cornell

Terry was a five-year member of the football team at Michigan State, playing in a total of 23 career contests. He earned his only start as a junior at No. 8 Penn State and saw action during the Spartans' College Football Playoff contest against Alabama in 2015. A member of the team's Eagles Leadership Council, he completed 36-of-75 passes (.480) for 356 yards and ran for 215 rushing yards on 59 carries (3.6 avg.).

A high school All-American at Cathedral Prep School, Terry was ranked among the nation's top 25 quarterback recruits by numerous publications. The state player of the year as a senior, he broke nearly every school and District 10 single-season passing record (3,599 passing yards, 50 touchdowns) while leading the Ramblers to a perfect 15-0 season in 2012, including the Class AAA championship and a No. 17 national ranking according to USA Today.  

After graduating, Terry worked as a sales representative for Federal Resources Corporation before consulting on logistics with the National Logistics Network.
