In his second year with the Big Red, JJ Fadden will continue working with the defense in 2001,
coaching the outside linebackers.
Prior to joining the Cornell staff, Fadden was the linebacker coach at Hobart College, where he also developed the team's summer weight training program.
Fadden was the defensive line coach at his alma mater, Wilkes University, in 1999, and also served as an assistant secondary coach at Wilkes during the 1998 season. During his tenure, he coached two all-conference players and helped guide the defense to a No. 1 overall ranking.
In the winter of '99, Fadden served as the defensive coordinator and player for the Kronberg Knights, a team in the Danish American Football Federation.
A 1998 graduate of Wilkes with a bachelor of arts degree in history and secondary education, Fadden was a first-team American Football Coaches Association All-America selection as a senior and an Associated Press Little All-American. He was the team's captain and was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year in 1997.
