First year assistant Mike Neuberger joins the Cornell coaching staff in 2013 and will serve as the team’s running backs and tight ends coach. He brings experience from stints at Maryland, Georgetown, Columbia and Dayton.

Neuberger spent 2012 at Georgetown after a year at the Big Red’s Ivy League rival Columbia where he worked with tight ends. He served two seasons working with running backs and the offensive line as a graduate assistant at Maryland in 2009 and 2010. During that time the Terrapins posted the second-largest turnaround in the Football Bowl Subdivision, adding seven wins to its resume while going 9-4 overall and winning the Military Bowl.

Neuberger began his coaching career at Dayton for two years as an assistant following two years as a student assistant coach and strength and conditioning assistant at his alma mater. Neuberger played four seasons at Dayton and was part of two league championship squads and a 2002 Division I-AA mid-major national championship. That offense ranked fifth nationally in passing and sixth in scoring. He graduated in 2005 with a degree in education and allied professions.
