PRIOR TO CORNELL
McElroy was a first-team all-league and all-county selection while playing on both sides of the line as a senior at New Milford HS ... he captained the team his senior year ... earned second-team all-league honors as a junior ... McElroy also lettered in wrestling and track and field, earning a pair of first-team all-league citations in the javelin.

Emmett Patrick McElroy is the son of Martin and Mary McElroy and has two older brothers ... his brothers Andrew (Marist) and Matthew (Penn) both play college football ... he is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
