• Made the travel team as a freshman as the team's backup long-snapper.

Prior to Cornell

• O’Dowd was part of three state championship teams at St. Thomas Aquinas HS while playing on the offensive line and as a long snapper.
• He was the FHSAA 7A Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior and a nominee for the Brian Piccolo Award.  
• A two-year letter winner, those teams went 28-2 with a pair of  national top 10 rankings by USA Today.
• As a senior, he was part of an operation that went 49-of-49 on PAT attempts and 18-of-24 on field goals.
• O’Dowd was one of 17 seniors in his class to sign on to play college football.

• Francis Edward O'Dowd III is the son of Frank and Rosemary O'Dowd and has a younger brother and two younger sisters.
• His uncles, Tim (Kentucky) and Mark (LSU), played college football.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
