As a sophomore (2017)

• Had 15 tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, in six contests at linebacker.
• Picked up the start at linebacker in the 2017 season opener at Delaware, recording three tackles.
• Registered three tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, in the Ivy League opener at Yale.
• Made a pair of tackles against Colgate.
• Returned to the lineup after missing four games with the start and two tackles at Dartmouth.
• Credited with three tackles vs. Columbia.
• Made two stops at Penn in the season finale.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Earned special teams action in nine games as a freshman.
• Made his first varsity appearance on special teams in the season-opening win over Bucknell.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Bonner was an all-conference linebacker at for a sectional championship team at North Allegheny Senior HS.
• He had 27 tackles and an interception as a senior captain while also scoring three total touchdowns - two at running back and one on an interception return.
• The three-year letter winner on the gridiron also competed on the track and field team.
• He helped the track squad to three league titles while participating in the sprints and high jump.
 

Personal

• Ijhad Kenyon Bonner is the son of Kenyon and Sylvana Bonner and has two younger brothers and a younger sister.
• His father is the Dean of Students at the University of Pittsburgh.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
