Biography

As a junior (2015)
• Played in six contests as a reserve offensive lineman.
• Saw his first varsity action as a reserve at Sacred Heart and also earned playing time in each of the final five contests.

As a sophomore (2014)
• Mohamed spent several weeks on the travel team but did not see varsity action.

As a freshman (2013)
• Mohamed spent his freshman campaign as part of the scout team in 2013 and did not see varsity action.

Lawrence HS
• An all-county selection as a senior, Mohamed started at left tackle for  apair of championship teams at Lawrence HS.
• As a senior, he was part of a 12-0 squad that won the Long Island championship, while his 2011 squad was county champs.
• He was invited to participate in the Empire Challenge in the summer of 2012 and was named one of the top 100 players on Long Island as a senior by MSGVarsity.com.
• Mohamed also competed for one year in track and field as a shot putter.

Personal
• Islam Mohamed is the son of Riham Khalil and has an older brother, Karim, who plays football at Stony Brook.
• He is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
