2024 | SENIOR SEASON
Earned Second Team All-Ivy honors after starting nine games at right guard ... anchored an offensive line that ranked second in the Ivy League and seventh nationally in sacks allowed (0.90 per game) ... helped the unit lead the Ivy League and rank third in the FCS in tackles for loss allowed (3.1 per game) ... key contributor to an offense that averaged 412.6 yards per game, ranking third in the Ivy League and 26th nationally ... the offensive line allowed one or fewer sacks in eight games ... helped tie the school record for fewest sacks allowed in a season (nine in 2021).

2023 I JUNIOR SEASON
Appeared in seven games as a backup right guard ... made his collegiate debut against Yale ... blocked for an offense that led the Ivy League in time of possession by over three minutes per game ... the unit allowed just 13 sacks, the second-fewest in school history (nine in 2021).

2022 I SOPHOMORE SEASON

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Powers earned third-team all-state accolades as a senior at Westminster Christian Academy ... captured all-conference and all-district honors in his final season ... three-time academic all-state pick ... competed one season in wrestling.

PERSONAL
John Edward Powers III is the son of John Edward II and Deanne Moraja Powers and has two younger brothers ... his father played baseball and basketball at Centre College and his mom was a volleyball player at Dayton ... his grandfather played football at Kentucky and an aunt was a volleyball player at Mercer ... he is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
