At Cornell: Baker emerged as one of the Ivy League’s most productive wide receivers as a junior and is an All-Ivy candidate heading into the 2008 campaign. An athlete with good size and impressive body control, Baker’s hands and penchant for the big catch make him an important threat in Cornell’s vertical passing game. He ranked third on the team in receptions (42) and receiving yards (420) while playing in all 10 games in 2007. He averaged 10.0 yards per catch, a mark that ranked second on the team among regulars. Baker had multiple receptions in each contest, including a career-high eight catches for 83 yards at Yale. He also posted five catches for 82 yards in the win over Brown and had seven receptions for 69 yards and a blocked a punt on special teams vs. Princeton. He had a breakout sophomore season in 2006, ranking second on the team with 22 catches for 320 yards and a pair of scores in 2006. Baker is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At Platteville: A first-team all-state selection by the Wisconsin Football Coaches, Baker was named one of the top 100 high school prospects in the state by Scout.com as a senior at Platteville HS. He was named first-team all-conference as a team captain. The three-year starter was named the team’s offensive MVP in 2004. Baker had a state record five touchdown catches in one game during his junior campaign, then broke his own state record by hauling in six scoring passes.
