• Played in five contests as a reserve on the defensive line, making one tackle.
• Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against No. 22 VMI.
• Credited with his first career tackle at Bucknell.
 

As a freshman (2020)

•Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Helped Archbishop Stepinac HS to league and state titles as both a junior and senior defensive lineman.
• Captured all-league and all-county accolades as a senior captain after posting 72 tackles, 14.0 sacks, five pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
• Named MVP of the 2018 league and state championship.
• Earned an invitation to play in the Empire Challenge all-star game.
• Selected to the Golden Dozen team as one of the top 12 best scholar-athletes in the county.
• Earned the team's Paul Choquette Scholar Football Athlete of the Year.
• Was a two-year member of the wrestling team, finishing third in the state at heavyweight as a senior.

• Joseph Paul Garbowski is the son of Joseph and Stefani Garbowski and has an older and younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
