At Cornell
Strid spent his freshman and sophomore seasons on the practice squad learning the defensive schemes and adjusting to the college game. He will have an opportunity to earn time in the linebacking corps and on special teams in 2012.

At Northwest Catholic
Strid was a two-time all-state linebacker by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association, Hartford Courant and New Haven Register at Northwest Catholic HS. A three-year starter, he earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior and tallied 315 career tackles. He was a team captain for his state runner-up squad in 2009 and compiled a 34-5 record with three conference titles and two state playoff berths during his career. A three-year academic all-league pick, Strid was picked as a National High School Scholar-Athlete by the National Football Foundation’s Northern Connecticut chapter.

Personal
Justin David Strid is the son of Scott and Ann Strid and has a younger brother and sister. Strid is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
