At Cornell
Marks has a chance to join the defensive backfield in 2009 after spending his freshman season on the junior varsity squad. He has the natural instincts and understanding of the defensive schemes to play a larger role as a sophomore. Marks is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.

At Santa Fe Christian
Marks was named team MVP and served as captain as a senior at Santa Fe Christian HS. He rushed for 483 yards and eight touchdowns and caught six passes for 131 yards and a score as a senior on offense, while making 62 tackles with an interception at safety. He was named second-team all-league on defense. The three-year starter played both ways for two seasons and helped the team to league and CIF championships as a junior.
