As a senior (2021)

• Second-team All-Ivy League selection in 2022.
• Elected the team’s solo captain, becoming the first Big Red player so honored since 1973.
• Ranked second on the team with 55 tackles along with 7.5 for a loss, a half-sack, an interception and three quarterback hurries.
• Had nine tackles with one for a loss and a quarterback hurry at Yale.
• Credited with six tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, at Bucknell.
• Had four stops with one for a loss at No. 22 Harvard.
• Made eight tackles in the win over Colgate.
• Posted four tackles and a quarterback hurry on a play that was intercepted against Brown.
• Intercepted a pass against Columbia.

As a senior (2020)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a junior (2019)

• Started six games at middle linebacker and played in nine overall, posting 33 tackles, a half-tackle for loss, a fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry.
• Missed the Colgate game due to injury.
• Started the 2019 season opener at Marist at middle linebacker, posting three total tackles.
• Registered six stops at ivy preseason favorite Yale.
• Notched three tackles vs. Georgetown.
• Posted three stops and recovered a fumble against Harvard.
• Returned from injury against Brown, making three total tackles in the win.
• Notched seven tackles, including a half-tackle for loss, against No. 12 Princeton.
• Credited with three tackles in the win over Dartmouth.
• Had four stops in the win over Columbia for the Empire State Bowl.
 

As a sophomore (2018)

• Ranked third on the team in tackles (49) with 6.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and an interception in his first season as a starter.
• Was top 10 in the league in tackles for loss in Ivy play.
• Earned the start in the 2018 opener at Delaware, making three tackles and registering a half-sack.
• Credited with eight tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, against Yale.
• Made three stops, including a half-tackle for loss, in the win over Harvard.
• Credited with four stops at No. 17 Colgate and at No. 17 Princeton.
• Had seven tackles with 2.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks in the win at Brown.
• Made a career-best 15 tackles with one for a loss and an interception against No. 23 Dartmouth.

As a freshman (2017)

• Made his varsity debut on special teams vs. Bucknell.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Blass earned first-team all-state honors after playing a myriad of positions at Crestwood HS, including safety, linebacker, quarterback, running back and wide receiver.
• He was a three-time first-team all-district selection and a two-time defensive player of the year who had 14 career interceptions, including nine in a single season.
• He also set the school’s single-game rushing record with 330 yards.
• Blass lettered four times in basketball and twice in lacrosse.
 

Personal

• Lance Michael Blass is the son of Joe and Nancy Blass and has two older sisters.
• His sister Brittany played field hockey at Lafayette.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
