• Named honorable mention All-Ivy League.
• Tied for third on the team with 45 tackles, adding an interception returned for a touchdown, four pass breakups and a fumble recovery.

As a junior (2019)

• Had 33 tackles to go along with 2.0 tackles for a loss, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup in seven starts at safety.
• Earned a start in the season-opening win at Marist, making four tackles.
• Credited with six stops at Ivy preseason favorite Yale.
• Notched six tackles, including one for a loss, vs. Georgetown.
• Missed  three games due to injury.
• Came back with six tackles, a fumble recovery and a tackle for loss against No. 12 Princeton.
• Tallied four tackles and broke up a pass at Penn.
• Notched four tackles in the win at No. 12 Dartmouth and three more in the victory over Columbia.
 

As a sophomore (2018)

• Played in all 10 contests, recording 29 tackles (20 solo) with three pass breakups.
• Credited with five tackles in his first varsity appearance off the bench at Delaware to kick off 2018.
• Had a pair of stops in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Posted seven tackles and broke up a pass in the win over Harvard.
• Made three tackles at No. 17 Colgate.
• Had four tackles and a pass breakup in the win at Brown.
• Earned the start at No. 17 Princeton, ending with three tackles.
• Notched a pair of stops vs. Penn.
• Had a pair of tackles after picking up the start against No. 23 Dartmouth.
• Made a tackle and broke up a pass at Columbia in the season finale.

As a freshman (2017)

• Did not see varsity action.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Thut was a two-way star at Crestwood HS, earning first-team all-state accolades in each of his final two seasons.
• He graduated with 12 school records and holds county marks for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in a game.
• Thut posted 87 tackles with six for a loss, four sacks and an interception return for a score on defense and was named state Offensive Player of the Year in Division IV after posting 2,597 rushing yards and 45 total touchdowns as a senior.
• He ran for 100 or more yards in all 11 games in his final season and set county records for rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and scoring in a season.
• He rushed for 1,973 yards and had 29 offensive touchdowns as a junior, earning county and district Player of the Year honors.
• Thut made 79 tackles with two sacks and an interception.
• He was an honorable mention all-state and first-team all-league pick as a sophomore.
• In his career, Thut ran for 4,657 yards and scored 86 touchdowns while making 259 tackles.
• Thut competed in basketball and track and field.
 

Personal

• Logan Johann Thut is the son of Eric and Dawn Thut and has an older sister.
• His mother competed in track and field at Youngstown State and his sister competes in track at Mount Union.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
