As a senior (2018)

• Earned time in nine contests, making three total tackles.
• Had tackles against Delaware, Yale and Princeton.
 

As a junior (2017)

• Played in all 10 contests.
• Made a pair of tackles.
• Saw playing time in the 2017 opener at Delaware.
• Had a tackle in the Ivy opener at Yale and another in the win over Brown.
 

As a sophomore (2016)

• Played in all 10 contests with two starts at outside linebacker.
• Made 20 tackles with one for a loss, a pass breakup and a fumble forced and recovered.
• Earned the start at outside linebacker in the 2016 opener at Bucknell, registering four tackles and forcing a fumble.
• Had one tackle in the win over Yale.
• Made one tackle and broke up a pass in the win at No. 25 Colgate.
• Had two tackles at No. 16 Harvard.
• Had three stops and recovered a fumble against Sacred Heart.
• Recorded a tackle for loss at Brown.
• Tied a career high with four tackles in the season finale against Ivy champion Penn.
 

As a freshman (2015)

• Made one special teams tackle in the 2015 season opener against Bucknell.
• Played in each of the team’s first four games.
 

At Lake Forest Academy

• Chaka was a three-time all-league selection while playing football at Father Michael Goetz Secondary School and Lake Forest Academy.
• Earned Greater Toronto Area all-star honors twice and was named to Team Ontario.
• Ranked among the top 20 high school football recruits in Canada.
• Two-time team captain.
• Earned all-county academic honors.
• Also played basketball and competed in track and field.
 

Personal

• Malcolm Russell Chaka is the son of Thabo and Penelope Chaka and has two older and one younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
