As a senior (2021)

• Had 11 tackles with a half-tackle for loss  in six contests.
• Made his season debut in the win over Colgate after missing the first four games due to injury.
• Had one tackle against the Raiders.
• Posted three stops against Brown.
• Registered three tackles vs. No. 15 Princeton.
• Made three solo stops at No. 22 Dartmouth.
• Credited with a half-tackle for loss against Columbia.
 

As a senior (2020)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a junior (2019)

• Among the team leaders on the defensive line with 26 tackles to go along with 1.0 tackles for loss and a half-sack.
• Named to the Academic All-District team.
• Credited with two tackles, including a half-tackle for loss, in the season-opening win at Marist.
• Recorded a career-best six tackles at Ivy preseason favorite Yale while picking up his first start.
• Made four stops with a half-sack against Georgetown.
• Credited with four tackles against both Harvard and Colgate.
• Made a pair of stops against No. 12 Princeton and in the win over Columbia.
 

As a sophomore (2018)

• Played in all 10 contests in 2018, registering 16 tackles with two for a loss and a sack.
• Made his varsity debut in the 2018 opener at Delaware, recording two tackles, including one for a loss.
• Credited with three tackles vs. Yale and at No. 17 Princeton.
• Had his first career sack and four total tackles in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Posted three stops in the season finale at Columbia.

As a freshman (2017)

• Did not see varsity action.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Edgerly was a two-time all-state selection on the offensive line at Bay HS, including earning first-team accolades as a senior.
• The conference Most Valuable Player in his final season, he was also named third team all-state as a junior.
• A two-time first-team all-conference and all-district pick, Edgerly served as captain his senior year and was chosen to play in the North-South All-Star Game.
• He posted 37 tackles, five tackles for loss and three sacks and even caught a touchdown pass in his final year.
• He was part of two conference championship teams.
• Edgerly also lettered three times in wrestling, winning a league title and placing at sectionals in 2017.
 

Personal

• Maxton Daniel Edgerly is the son of Daniel and Heather Edgerly and has a younger sister and brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
