Biography

As a senior (2021)

• Played in all 10 contests at safety and on special teams, registering 10 tackles.
• Made two stops, the first of his career, at Yale.
• Notched a career-high three solo tackles at Bucknell.
• Chipped in two tackles at Harvard.
• Had single tackles against, Brown, No. 15 Princeton and Columbia.

As a junior (2020)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a sophomore (2019)

• Played in four games on special teams.
• Made his collegiate debut vs. Georgetown and also saw action at Harvard, vs. Brown and at Penn.
 

As a freshman (2018)

• Did not see varsity action.


Prior to Cornell

• Sow was an honorable mention all-state selection as a senior at Woodlands HS.
• An all-league and all-conference pick, he was a two-year team captain.
• Sow was invited to play in the area’s senior all-star game and earned Con Edison and News 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Week awards.
 

Personal

• Mbaba Ibrahim Sow is the son of Penda Guisse and the late Lamine Sow and has an older brother.
• His brother Abdoulaye played basketball at SUNY Brockport.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
