Biography

At Cornell: Nwaka is a strong defensive tackle who provides excellent support against the run. He will likely play a role on the scout team as a junior. Nwaka is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

At Georgetown Prep: A two-year letter winner at defensive tackle in football at Georgetown Prep, he earned the team’s Twelfth Man award in 2005. Nwaka was a four-year letter winner in rugby, earning all-league honors in that sport in each of his final two years. He also competed in wrestling for two seasons. In the classroom, Nwaka was a Washington Metropolitan Scholar.

Personal: Michael Lawrence Nwaka is the son of Chuck Nwaka and Shannon Cunningham and has an older and younger brother. His older brother, Alex, plays baseball at Penn.
