Biography

As a senior (2019)

• Finished second on the team in tackles for loss (6.5) while starting all 10 games at linebacker.
• Posted 48 tackles with 2.0 sacks, a forced fumble, an interception and seven pass breakups.
• Started the season opener against Marist at linebacker and posted a pair of tackles and a pass breakup.
• Notched five tackles with 2.5 for a loss, a sack and a pass breakup at Ivy League preseason favorite Yale.
• Notched two stops with a tackle for loss and an interception vs. Georgetown.
• Had seven tackles and a strip sack at Harvard.
• Posted five tackles, including a half-tackle for loss, against Colgate.
• Credited with eight tackles, including a half-tackle for loss, in the win over Brown.
• Notched seven tackles with two pass breakups against No. 12 Princeton.
• Had five tackles with two pass breakups in the win over No. 12 Dartmouth.
• Made five tackles with one for a loss and a pass breakup in the Senior Day win over Columbia.
 

As a junior (2018)

• Played in all 10 games with a pair of starts, ranking fourth on the team in tackles (47).
• Added two tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and a pass breakup.
• Had four tackles in the 2018 season opener at Delaware.
• Credited with five tackles vs. Yale.
• Made a career-high six stops in the win over Sacred Heart.
• Posted a pair of stops in the win over Harvard.
• Credited with five tackles, including one for a loss and a half-sack, at No. 17 Colgate.
• Notched three tackles and a half-sack in the win at Brown.
• Earned his first career start vs. Penn, making five total tackles.

As a sophomore (2017)

• Saw action in all 10 contests, posting 22 tackles and 1.5 for a loss.
• Made his first career start in the win over Brown and registered four tackles.
• Earned time on special teams in the 2017 season opener at Delaware and has played in all four contests.
• Also saw special team action against Colgate, making a pair of tackles.
• Had one stop at Yale.
• Credited with two stops at Dartmouth and three more vs. Columbia.
• Posted a career-best six tackles with one for a loss against Bucknell.
• Had two tackles, including one for a loss, in the victory at Princeton.
• Closed the season with a pair of stops at Penn.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Did not see varsity action in 2016.
• Competed on the junior varsity team.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Bradford was a two-time all-state selection at Lakeside HS.
• He was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year in 5A football after notching 95 tackles with three sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a blocked kick.
• He also was an all-county offensive player after racking up  1,900 total yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior.
• Bradford helped his team to a league crown as a senior while playing linebacker, safety, wide receiver, tight end and running back, while also serving as the team’s punter.
 

Personal

• Maurice Lamar Bradford is the son of Maurice Sr. and Aylisha Bradord.
• His uncle, Vincent, played in the NFL for one season with the San Francisco 49ers.
• He is enrolled in the College of Architecture, Art and Planning.
