Pizzurro is a young tight end prospect who was a key part of the passing game on the junior varsity team as a freshman before missing 2008 with an injury. He has good athletic ability and runs precise routes, allowing him to challenge for playing time. Pizzurro could also see time on special teams in 2009. A much-improved blocker, he has added size and strength in his first two years and will continue to grow into the role. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

At Santa Margarita
Pizzurro caught five touchdowns for a 10-3 Santa Margarita HS team as a senior, helping the team to its deepest playoff run as a Division I school. He ended the season by catching 16 passes for 198 yards, averaging 12.4 yards per reception. Pizzurro hauled in seven passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns as a junior. The three-year letter winner set a school record for the most touchdowns by a tight end. Pizzurro was a First Friday Friar nominee in 2007 for his achievements as a scholar-athlete.

Nicholas Alfred Pizzurro is the son of Alfred and Cynthia Pizzurro and has a sister. His father played football at Clarion University.
