• Wagner was an all-league selection as a senior captain at Santa Margarita Catholic HS.
• He set school records for highest pass completion percentage in a season (.655) and most consecutive completions (12) and closed his career with 2,488 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. 
• As a senior, Wagner complete 159-of-247 passes for 2,156 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for four more.

• Richard Edward Larson Wagner is the son of Richard and Jennifer Wagner and has a twin sister, Annelise.
