Biography

At Cornell
Gurley was forced to sit out the 2010 season, but will have an opportunity to earn significant time at safety and on special teams in 2011.

At Mississippi State
Played in eight games in 2008 for Mississippi State, primarily on special teams. Played on kickoff returns after walking on as a freshman. He redshirted his first year in 2007.

At Houston Academy
Helped Houston Academy to the state semifinals as a senior defensive back. He played in the 2007 Max Emfinger High School All-American Bowl Game for the East team. A four-sport star in high school, Gurley lettered in football, basketball, baseball and soccer.
