At Cornell: Adams saw action in all 10 games as a junior, seeing time as a reserve offensive lineman. A converted tight end, Adams earned praise for his quick improvement as a blocker and his quick feet. He will have a chance to earn a starting job with a strong spring and fall camp. Adams saw action in four contests as a sophomore after seeing time in six games on special teams as a freshman in 2005. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.

At Roxbury: A captain of both the football and basketball teams at Roxbury HS, Adams was a first-team all-area and all-county selection in 2004. He was named to the New Jersey Super 100 squad and was a National Football Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. Adams was a first-team all-league pick as a junior and senior and was a three-year starter at tight end and on the defensive line. His team won the conference title as a sophomore. Adams was also an honorable mention all-league pick in basketball, where he was a three-year letter winner.

Personal: Ryan Jeffrey Adams is the son of Jeff and Lori Adams and has a younger brother and sister. His grandfather, Robert Adams, played football for the Baltimore Colts.
