At Cornell: Posey became a key rotation member on the defensive line as a reserve last year, playing seven games. He posted 10 total tackles, including four solo stops, and added a tackle for loss. Posey notched a career-high five tackles in the season opener against Bucknell and notched three stops at Georgetown. The former walk-on was a defensive leader for the junior varsity in his first two seasons before converting from his linebacker slot. Posey is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At Lee’s Summit North: A two-year letter winner at Lee’s Summit North HS, Posey was an all-conference and Kansas City all-metro honorable mention selection as a senior. He also served as the Kansas City district president for Missouri DECA, an association of marketing students. He finished third in the state and in the top 10 internationally in DECA competitive events.

Personal: Ryne Christopher Posey is the son of Daryl Posey and Marijo Upshaw and has a younger brother and sister. His father played four seasons in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs after playing at Mississippi College.
