Biography

As a senior (2017)
• Did not see varsity action due to injury.

As a junior (2016)
• Was injured on the opening kickoff of the season opener at Bucknell and missed the remainder of the season.

As a sophomore (2015)
• Scullen started the final six games of the 2015 campaign at outside linebacker and ranked among the team leaders with 31 tackles.
• Had seven pass breakups, two interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries.
• Posted a career-high seven tackles with a pass breakup and a fumble recovery at Dartmouth.
• Was credited with four tackles, broke up a pass and recovered a fumble against Brown.
• Had three tackles, broke up two passes and intercepted a third in the Big Red’s shutout of Columbia.
• Made a sack and intercepted a pass at Penn in the season finale.
• Made his second career start when he opened the game at outside linebacker against Sacred Heart, making three tackles.
• Had a team-high five tackles against Harvard.
• Notched a pair of tackles and broke up a pass in the 2015 opener against Bucknell.

As a freshman (2014)
• Played in 10 games on special teams and as a reserve safety.
Posted nine tackles, broke up a pass and intercepted another while earning his first varsity letter.
• Made one tackle and intercepted his first career pass at Columbia.
• Had a career-best four stops vs. Dartmouth.
• Made a pair of tackles against both Yale and Penn.

At Stoney Creek HS
• An honorable mention all-state pick as a junior by the Detroit News, Scullen was named the team's offensive MVP as a senior at Stoney Creek HS.
• A versatile player who saw action at safety, quarterback, wide receiver and running back during his four years, Scullen was named first-team all-league on both offense (running back) and defense (safety) in each of his final two seasons.
• A two-year team captain, he was named first-team all-county as a safety by the Detroit News as both a junior and senior.
• He piled up 31 tackles and six pass breakups as a senior on defense while running for 321 yards, catching 15 passes for 276 yards and finding the end zone a total of four times despite playing much of the season injured.
• As a junior, Scullen posted 1,673 all-purpose yards with 23 total touchdowns on offense and 45 tackles with four interceptions on defense.

• Sean Thomas Scullen is the son of Michael and Liesl Scullen and has an older sister.
• His father ran track at Michigan State and his grandfather played football at Detroit.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
