At Cornell
A special teams star, Lewis showed flashes of breaking out in limited opportunities at tailback as a junior in 2010. Lewis posted 85 rushing yards on 14 carries (6.1 yards per carry) and caught two passes for eight yards in seven contests. Lewis posted 37 yards on four carries in the fourth quarter of Cornell's win at Bucknell, helping the Big Red run out the clock. Included was a career-long 24-yard carry. He then rushed for 42 yards and eight carries at Harvard the following week. Lewis saw action in nine contests as a sophomore in 2009, primarily on special teams. He made one tackle, that coming against Brown. Lewis was the primary ball-carrier for the junior varsity as a freshman in 2008. He has good size and burst through the line, and his vision allows him to run between the tackles or on the edges. Lewis is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At Cardinal Gibbons
Lewis was an honorable mention all-state running back at Cardinal Gibbons, piling up 2,248 career rushing yards on 6.9 yards per carry. A 2007 Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star and Super 22 award winner, Lewis was a National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete. He helped his team to a division title and a 9-3 record as a junior. Lewis was an all-league pick in track and field and earned a total of 10 varsity letters in track, football and lacrosse.
