At Cornell: An intelligent quarterback who has a strong understanding of the Big Red offense, Lucas will again serve as a backup under center as a senior. An excellent leader who was a member of the travel team as a junior, Lucas has played well in his opportunities on the junior varsity and is ready to step into action if needed. He has a great football pedigree and possesses the size and athletic ability to be successful. He is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.

At Montgomery: Lucas completed 44-of-88 passes for 545 yards and three touchdowns as a senior, stepping into the quarterback role late in his senior season at Montgomery HS. He was named first-team academic all-state by the Texas High School Coaches Association in his final campaign.

Personal: Tyler Lee Lucas is the son of Mike and Wendy Lucas and has a younger brother. His father is the head coach at Southeastern Louisiana.
