Biography
In 2013-14 (junior)
LaMore averaged 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds in 23 minutes as a reserve in the post. He notched eight points and four rebounds vs. Brown in a career-best 28 minutes. LaMore also scored five points and grabbed four rebounds at Princeton while posting four points and a career-best six boards at Brown. He chipped in four points, three rebounds and an assist in 17 energy-filled minutes at Notre Dame.
In 2012-13 (sophomore)
LaMore played in 12 contests for a total of 36minutes and scored five points with four rebounds. LaMore scored four points and grabbed a rebound in four minutes against Brown and also scored against Princeton. He earned a season-best nine minutes at American, grabbing a rebound, LaMore played seven minutes at No. 22 Wisconsin and stole a pass at No. 1Â Duke.
In 2011-12 (freshman)
LaMore played in 17 contests off the bench for the Big Red, averaging 1.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.4 blocks per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor. He played in 17 of the team's last 21 games after not seeing action in any of the first seven contests. He played 13 minutes at Penn State, posting four points, two rebounds and an assist. LaMore posted six points, two assists, a blocked shot and a steal in 13 minutes against Albright and had two points and three rebounds whil providing excellent defense against Yale’s Greg Mangano in the win over the Bulldogs.
At Dexter HS
LaMore was a two-time first-team and three-time all-league member at Dexter HS. He averaged 14.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 49 percent from the floor and 75 percent from the free-throw line as a senior. LaMore was named to the AnnArbor.com Dream Team member in his final season and was a first-team selection as a junior by the same website. An all-state pick in his final season, he earned the team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. As a freshman, LaMore was named the team's most improved player. He also was given a Dexter Scholar-Athlete and all-league Scholar-Athlete award in each of his four seasons. LaMore averaged 11.0 points and 6.0 rebounds as a junior. He was a two-year team captain.
Personal
David John LaMore is the son of Darrell and Donna LaMore and has an older sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
